When choosing a video company for your event, there are understandably lots of questions you may have.  These are our most common FAQs, to give you a better idea of the services provided and what you can expect when you decide to work with Cameron Videography. Everything You Want To Know

What is your style of wedding videography?

Our approach is natural, cinematic, and unobtrusive. We focus on capturing real moments as they happen—nothing overly staged or forced—so your day feels like your day, not a production.

 

Paul typically films solo and keeps a low profile, blending into the background to document genuine interactions, emotions, and in-between moments that often go unnoticed.

 

Visually, our films lean into a cinematic feel with a strong sense of place—whether that’s sweeping landscapes, intimate portraits, or the energy of your ceremony. We use movement, light, and sound intentionally to tell your story in a way that feels both dynamic and personal.

 

In the end, the goal is simple: a film that feels honest, immersive, and true to you.

How far in advance should we book your services?

To maintain our commitment to quality, we accept a limited number of weddings each year, allowing us to focus wholeheartedly on each couple. It's advisable to reserve your spot well in advance, as our calendar tends to fill up quickly. Typically, our couples secure their bookings up to a year in advance to ensure availability and guarantee our dedicated attention to capturing their unique love story.

What is included in your wedding videography packages?

All of our packages are designed around complete, moments-first coverage of your day—not strict hourly limits.

Rather than watching the clock, we focus on being there for everything that matters: the meaningful moments, the in-between interactions, and the natural flow of your wedding as it unfolds.

Every package includes:

  • A dedicated videographer (Paul)

  • Cinematic, multi-camera coverage in 4K

  • Professional audio capture for vows, speeches, and key moments

  • Drone coverage (when conditions allow)

  • A signature highlight film crafted to tell your story

  • Online delivery in a private, high-quality gallery

  • The flexibility to upgrade or add films after your wedding

From the initial planning stages through to the final edit, everything is handled with care to create a film that feels cohesive, personal, and true to your day.

Can we customize our wedding videography package?

Our packages are designed to provide a complete, thoughtful level of coverage—so rather than building everything from scratch, we keep things simple and flexible through add-ons and upgrades.

 

After your wedding, you’ll have the option to expand your collection with additional films or edits, so you don’t have to decide everything upfront.

 

If you’re planning something a little different—like an elopement, multi-day celebration, or unique timeline—feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to create something that fits your day while still staying true to our approach.

Do you offer drone footage?

Yes! Meet Paul, our licensed drone operator, bringing an extra dimension to your wedding film with stunning aerial views. Drone coverage is seamlessly included in all our film packages, adding a captivating perspective to your memories. To ensure compliance with regulations, drone flights are subject to venue permissions and weather conditions. Paul primarily captures landscape and scenery shots, usually before the wedding begins. If you have specific preferences for drone coverage, feel free to share your vision, and we'll do our best to tailor the experience to your desires.

How long will it take to receive our wedding film?

We deliver all wedding films within 30 days, even during peak season.

 

We know how exciting it is to relive your day, so our editing process is designed to be both intentional and efficient—without long wait times.

 

Each film is carefully crafted to reflect your story, with a balance of cinematic visuals, natural audio, and thoughtful pacing. Once complete, your film is delivered in a private online gallery where you can watch, share, and download in high quality.

Can we choose the soundtrack for our wedding video?

Music selection is part of our creative process. We choose and legally license the perfect soundtrack to your films taking into consideration your musical preferences and the vibe your day emitted. We subscribe to a vast library of awesome music that we own the rights to use in our films. Should you want to have an active role in music selection, please let us know and we can share our music database with you ahead of time. 

For the use of songs outside of our database, you are welcome to research a "single use license" yourself.

Do you work well with photographers and other vendors?

Yes. So very yes.

How do you handle unexpected situations or changes on the wedding day?

So many redundancies! Multiple audio sources, multiple video sources, and a can-do attitude makes the unexpected expected. We are very good at rolling with the punches and shoot on extremely mobile rigs to ensure we're always in position to get your perfect shots. We've seen just about everything at weddings, but are never surprised to see a new situation arise.

What is your payment schedule and cancellation policy?

Our default payment schedule is a 30% retainer payment at time of booking, 30% 3 months prior to your event date, and the remaining 40% 2 weeks prior to your event date. All bookings are managed online through a secure website which will include your quote, contract, and payment schedule. 

For late bookings, we retain 50% down and 50% 1 week before your event date.

 

All payments are non-refundable, but completely transferrable to alternate dates (pending availability). We do not charge a rescheduling fee.

Are travel expenses included in your packages?

Our packages include travel fees within most of the Sea To Sky Corridor and Vancouver's Lower Mainland. Should your wedding fall outside our included travel radius, we'll include any necessary travel fees transparently on your initial quote. 

Can we request specific shots or moments to be included in our film?

We love your input. If you have any "must have" shots, definitely share them with us. We'll have lots of communication prior to your wedding date to hone in your perfect coverage. 

How do we secure our wedding date with you?

To secure a date with us, we require a 30% retainer payment and a signed contract.

Do we need to decide all of the video products we want to purchase upfront?

Definitely not! We try to make the booking process as stress-free as possible for you by shooting your day as much in its entirety as possible. This keeps your options open for product upgrades for up to ONE YEAR after your wedding date. Grab your "must haves" now and if your speeches end up being epic, tack on our Speeches Film later.
